Project Overview

Serene Oasis is an 10,200 sq ft end-user residence in Palm Jumeirah, developed through an integrated design-and-build approach. Conceived as a calm and enduring family home, the project is shaped around the emotional contrast between desert stillness and the relief of an oasis — translating this idea into a residence that feels warm, elegant, and deeply inviting. A timeless home designed for generations to grow and live in.

Across architecture, interiors, and landscape, the villa is envisioned as a complete living environment where light, texture, and spatial openness are carefully balanced. The layouts confirm a substantial multi-level program that includes formal and family living areas, show kitchen, office, cinema, playroom, multiple bedroom suites, roof lounge, gym and wellness spaces, and a highly developed beachfront landscape with large water features, outdoor dining, shaded lounge zones, and sculptural seating.

The Challenge

The brief called for a residence that would feel highly luxurious yet emotionally grounded — a home capable of supporting both elegant entertaining and intimate family life without losing warmth or calm. As an end-user project on Palm Jumeirah, the villa needed to offer strong architectural presence and a memorable waterfront experience while remaining comfortable, timeless, and highly personal in character.

A key challenge was coordinating a broad and complex program into one coherent narrative. The plans show garage and service areas, dramatic entrance spaces, formal living and dining, family room and show kitchen, office, cinema, playroom, multiple powder rooms, expansive primary suites, secondary bedrooms, roof lounge, gym, spa and wellness areas, and multiple landscaped terraces. The project required a unified design language that could move seamlessly between formal, private, playful, and wellness-oriented spaces while preserving the same sense of serenity throughout.

Our Approach

Our approach was to build the villa around a restrained palette and a clear sensory narrative rooted in nature. The concept’s color scheme draws directly from desert and oasis references, using warm sand tones, pale stone, muted taupes, soft creams, and natural textures to establish a calm, timeless atmosphere. This is reinforced in the general material boards through the repeated use of travertine, marble, carved wood, textured veneers, metal, and softly reflective finishes.

Architecturally and through the landscape, we shaped the villa as a resort-like retreat that opens generously toward the beach. The rendered views show a monumental but quiet facade, expansive rear glazing, and a layered waterfront composition that includes a large pool, circular spa and seating moments, shallow water lounges, sunken firepit seating, floating-style decks, a covered outdoor dining and BBQ pavilion, and lush planting throughout. These outdoor areas are treated not as secondary spaces, but as a central part of the living experience.

Inside, the design language is both luminous and tactile. The entrance hall is conceived as a dramatic double-height arrival space, with suspended sculptural lighting, travertine and marble finishes, filtered sunlight, and a transparent grand piano establishing an immediate sense of quiet spectacle. Formal dining and formal living continue this atmosphere through double-height proportions, veined stone, custom lighting, soft upholstery, and carefully framed waterfront views. The family room and show kitchen are designed to feel warmer and more relaxed, layering marble islands, soft veneers, custom lighting, and integrated lounge seating into an everyday living environment that remains refined.

This same level of curation extends through the private and lifestyle spaces. The office introduces a more tailored, intimate palette of marble, veneer, textile cladding, and custom furniture; the cinema uses soft acoustical finishes and sculpted forms to create a cocooned atmosphere; the playroom becomes a whimsical but elegant family zone; and the upper-level suites introduce more expressive stone, parquet, metal mesh, onyx, and custom furniture selections. The roof-level lounge, gym, spa, and terrace continue the narrative into wellness and leisure, with backlit travertine, precious metals, tailored outdoor furniture, and dedicated spa-garden features extending the home vertically.

The Outcome

The result is a contemporary Palm Jumeirah villa envisioned as a true private sanctuary — one where architecture, interiors, and landscape are united through a shared language of calmness, warmth, and timeless luxury. Every layer of the concept supports a home that feels expansive yet intimate, visually refined yet emotionally grounded, and fully connected to both nature and waterfront living.

As an end-user residence, Serene Oasis is positioned not simply as a statement property, but as a long-term family retreat with depth, comfort, and identity. Its desert-inspired palette, sculptural arrival, immersive outdoor experience, and carefully layered interior program come together to create a residence that feels memorable, enduring, and fully aligned with CK’s design sensibility.
