Project Overview

Developed as an interior design project, L’Olive Restaurant was envisioned as a destination that offers a memorable dining experience through ambience, comfort, and architectural character. The design language balances modern luxury with natural softness, using rich finishes, curated planting, and carefully composed lighting to establish a welcoming yet elevated atmosphere.

The space is defined by its generous proportions, double-height glazing, and strong connection between interior architecture and dining layout. Deep blue banquettes, marble surfaces, warm timber finishes, and suspended greenery all contribute to a setting that feels polished, contemporary, and immersive.

The Challenge

The key challenge was to shape a restaurant identity that felt distinctive and premium while still maintaining the comfort and accessibility expected from a social dining venue. The interior needed to create a strong first impression, support a variety of seating arrangements, and deliver a cohesive atmosphere across both feature spaces and everyday dining zones.

Another challenge was balancing openness with intimacy. With expansive glazing and a large dining volume, the design had to introduce warmth, layering, and focal points that would make the space feel curated rather than overly open or formal.

Our Approach

Our approach centered on creating an elegant hospitality environment with a clear sense of rhythm, richness, and visual depth. Seating zones were carefully organized to offer a mix of communal dining, private moments, and flexible guest arrangements, allowing the restaurant to accommodate different dining experiences throughout the day.

A refined palette of stone, marble, dark timber, and upholstered textures was used to establish contrast and sophistication. The deep blue seating adds character and comfort, while patterned and polished floor finishes help define different spatial moments within the restaurant. Feature lighting and suspended greenery introduce softness overhead, creating a layered visual experience that enhances the ambience.

Architectural framing elements and carefully integrated planting were used to break down the scale of the space and create a more intimate dining atmosphere. Statement details such as illuminated shelving, sculptural bar features, and material contrasts help reinforce the restaurant’s identity while supporting a high-end guest experience.

The Outcome

L’Olive Restaurant emerged as a sophisticated hospitality destination that blends strong visual appeal with comfort and functionality. The design offers an elegant yet approachable environment where guests can enjoy a memorable dining experience within a setting defined by material richness, architectural clarity, and atmospheric detail.

The project reflects CK’s ability to create hospitality spaces that are visually distinctive, operationally considered, and tailored to the experience of both the brand and its guests.
