CK Design Office

Located in The Greens, Dubai, the CK Design Office was designed and built as a tailored workspace for the studio’s internal team. The office brings together open-plan working zones, enclosed meeting spaces, and circulation areas within a cohesive architectural language that balances industrial character with refined detailing.

The design is defined by a strong material palette of dark ceilings, warm timber flooring, textured surfaces, glass partitions, and integrated linear lighting. Suspended chain elements and illuminated workstations with floating-look, introduce a distinctive visual rhythm to the space, while the combination of transparency and enclosure creates an environment that feels both focused and connected.

The key challenge was to create a highly functional office for a creative practice without compromising on identity and atmosphere. The space needed to support day-to-day workflow, team interaction, and privacy where required, while also serving as a direct reflection of CK’s design language.

Another challenge was to make the workspace feel dynamic and inspiring rather than conventional. The office had to embody the studio’s personality through strong architectural gestures, material expression, and carefully controlled lighting, all while maintaining comfort and efficiency for everyday use.

Our approach focused on designing a workplace that feels immersive, structured, and unmistakably representative of the brand. We used spatial clarity and repetition as key tools, organizing the workstation layout to encourage efficiency and collaboration while preserving a clean visual order.

Material selection played a central role in shaping the atmosphere. Warm timber flooring softens the strong industrial character of the exposed dark ceiling, metal chain detailing, and glass partitions. Integrated floor-level and joinery lighting enhances the architectural lines of the space, adding depth and a subtle sense of drama throughout the office.

The workstation design was treated as a feature in itself, with bespoke desk enclosures and suspended elements creating a bold yet disciplined visual identity. This approach allowed the office to function as both a practical workspace and a statement of the studio’s design philosophy.

The result is a sophisticated and highly recognizable office environment that supports the studio’s daily operations while expressing its creative ethos. CK Design Office successfully combines functionality, character, and brand presence in a way that elevates the everyday workplace experience.
