Developed as a full design and build project, CK Design House was conceived as a functional extension of the CK brand — a place where team members can work remotely while enjoying a more relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. Rather than operating as a conventional office, the space was designed to support flexibility, creativity, and comfort, while still reflecting the studio’s architectural identity.
The building is defined by a strong contemporary language, combining exposed concrete, warm timber accents, large glazed openings, and landscaped outdoor areas. Its architectural character is bold yet understated, allowing the branch to feel distinctive without losing the warmth needed for a productive day-to-day work environment.
The main challenge was to create a workplace that moved beyond the feel of a traditional office. The space needed to function as a professional CK branch while also offering the comfort, calmness, and adaptability associated with a more lifestyle-driven setting.
Another key objective was to establish a strong connection between indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring that staff could enjoy a flexible work environment with access to natural light, open views, and informal breakout zones. The design also needed to communicate CK’s design values through a clear, memorable architectural identity.
Our approach focused on designing a branch environment that supports both work and experience. Exposed concrete was used to create a clean and timeless architectural shell, while timber elements introduced warmth, rhythm, and a more inviting human scale. Large glazed openings help fill the interiors with daylight and strengthen the visual relationship between the office and the surrounding landscape.
The overall composition was developed to feel open, balanced, and intentional. Outdoor decks, seating areas, and landscaped zones were integrated as extensions of the workplace, encouraging moments of pause, informal meetings, and flexible use throughout the day. The result is a setting that supports productivity while offering a more relaxed alternative to a standard office environment.
Careful attention was also given to the arrival experience and branding, ensuring the branch would feel aligned with CK’s identity. From the façade expression to the material palette, every element was shaped to reflect the studio’s contemporary and detail-driven design approach.
CK Design House became a unique remote working branch for CK staff — a space that combines functionality, architectural character, and lifestyle quality in one cohesive environment. It offers a professional yet comfortable setting where work, creativity, and interaction can happen more naturally.
As a design and build project, it stands as a strong expression of CK’s ability to reimagine the workplace through architecture that is flexible, inspiring, and deeply connected to its context.
