Casa del Sol is a 21,000 sq ft investor-led beachfront residence on Palm Jumeirah, delivered through a fully integrated design-and-build approach in collaboration with SAOTA. Spanning two merged signature plots, the project occupies an extraordinary position within the island’s residential landscape, resulting in a home of rare scale, presence, and exclusivity.
Conceived as a statement villa, the residence combines expansive architecture with highly curated interior experiences, balancing grandeur with refinement throughout. From its commanding waterfront elevation to its private entertainment and wellness spaces, Casa del Sol was designed to offer a fully immersive luxury lifestyle. In 2023, it stood as the most expensive villa on Palm Jumeirah — a reflection not only of its size, but of its singular ambition, quality, and market significance.
The brief required the creation of an exceptional investor residence that could fully capitalize on one of the most unique opportunities on Palm Jumeirah: two merged signature plots forming one expansive beachfront estate. The challenge was not only to design for scale, but to ensure that the home retained elegance, fluidity, and a strong sense of cohesion throughout.
A project of this magnitude demanded careful balance. It needed to feel iconic without becoming excessive, and luxurious without losing intimacy in the day-to-day living experience. Alongside expansive formal and family spaces, the residence also needed to incorporate a highly differentiated lifestyle offering — including a bowling alley, private entertainment spaces, and a full spa with Turkish hammam — while maintaining a seamless architectural and interior language across every level of the home.
Our approach was to treat the residence as a complete lifestyle estate rather than a conventional waterfront villa. Architecturally, the home was developed as a composition of strong horizontal volumes, refined stone surfaces, and expansive glazing, creating a facade that feels both monumental and highly controlled. The building’s width across the beachfront reinforces its exceptional plot size, while carefully framed openings and terraces preserve rhythm, proportion, and privacy.
Internally, the design language is rich, dramatic, and deeply layered. Contrasting light stone and dark architectural finishes create a refined tension throughout the interiors, while custom detailing, sculptural lighting, polished surfaces, and carefully selected natural materials bring depth and sophistication to each space. Large double-height volumes introduce a sense of drama on arrival, while private suites, entertainment areas, and wellness spaces are choreographed to feel immersive, elevated, and highly personal.
The lifestyle spaces were fundamental to the identity of the project. A dedicated bowling alley, private cinema, and entertainment lounge transform the lower-level experience into something more akin to a private members’ club, while the spa and Turkish hammam introduce a retreat-like quality that elevates the home beyond conventional luxury. These features were not treated as secondary amenities, but as integral parts of the project’s architectural and experiential narrative.
Outdoors, the beachfront setting is fully embraced through expansive terraces, infinity-edge water features, sunken lounge areas, and landscaped transitions that blur the line between residence and resort. The result is a home that feels generous, immersive, and unmistakably singular in its setting.
Casa del Sol stands as one of the most significant residential statements within Palm Jumeirah — a project defined by scale, precision, and a rare level of experiential luxury. By bringing together two signature plots into one unified architectural vision, the residence achieves a presence that is both exceptional and enduring.
As an investor-led development, the project delivered a compelling combination of landmark identity, world-class amenities, and strong market distinction. In 2023, it became the most expensive villa on Palm Jumeirah, underscoring its importance not only as a residence, but as a benchmark for ultra-prime living on the island.
